Winter Summerland Mini Golf at Walt Disney World

Entrance sign for Winter Summerland Minature Golf located at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida

As you may already know, we are Disney World passholders again for the first time since 2019 and we could not be more excited! When purchasing our passes and reviewing the benefits, I came across our favorite one yet: FREE mini golf before 4 pm! Our boys recently became enamored with mini golf and I love any activity that we can all enjoy together. Get ready, because we plan to play A LOT of mini golf over the next year. We’ve gotta get our money’s worth on those passes!

Winter Summerland is located adjacent to Blizzard Beach Waterpark. There is a small parking lot where the minigolf sign is located, but the spaces are extremely limited and they are tight. If you prefer to park there, spots do open up frequently as groups finish their round of golf, but we find it is easier to enter via the Blizzard Beach parking lot. If you consider the entrance the back left corner of the parking lot, you will want to head to the front right corner of the lot. There is a little path that will take you to the gold course entrance. The path is easy to miss and going back to the entrance near the dedicated Winter Summerland parking lot will add more steps to your day. If you are staying at a Disney resort, you can hop on any bus headed to Blizzard Beach and take the short walk from the bus stops to Winter Summerland.

There are two courses here, one with a winter theme and one with a summer theme. Your admission grants you access to only one course, but you can return with your dated receipt for a discount on the second course later in the day or the following day. If you booked a Disney vacation package, check your My Disney Experience, as you may have a free round of golf already loaded onto your account. And if you are a passholder, admission is free prior to 4 pm.

Keep an eye on that fishing pole when your ball hits the hole.

Despite there being a good amount of shade on this course, I would recommend going as soon as they open in the morning. It does get crowded as the day goes on, and if you have little ones like we do, their patience can wane while waiting to play the next hole. Disney does their best to space the groups out, and during busier times, you may have a wait to have your tee time called. If you are a planner, you can book reservations for as early as the following day or later, but they always welcome same-day walk-ups.

We found these courses to be challenging enough to engage the adults but easy enough that it did not frustrate the kids. The theming was so fun, and there were many times my kids wanted to stop and play in and around a particular hole. There are some great photo ops here!

If you love Disney’s attention to detail as much as I do, you are going to love these courses. We played both courses (a day apart) and couldn’t believe the details we missed on the first go-round. While the courses are separate, they meet together at the end. One of the biggest misses on my part was the snoap! If you are familiar with Main Street at Christmastime, you know Disney snoap is a fan favorite. This is the only place I know of on Disney property where you can experience it year-round! It happens near the beginning/end of the course, so keep an eye out. Your kids will love playing in it.

Before you leave, don’t miss the photo ops in Santa’s sleigh near the entrance. This is also a fun way to pass the time if there is a wait to tee off. Even if you choose not to play a round, this might be a fun stop to take some Christmas card photos if you are in the area. This is also a great option when you are doing a resort-only stay or if you are trying to avoid the craziness of the parks during peak seasons.
